Welcome to our new kitchen! This is the first episode of Big Food little kitchen in the new house. It’s a great place, but not a lot of kitchen space to work with.

Nikki and I made a batch of cabbage soup – as Thai style as we can make it, I think – and it’s a dish that makes plenty of leftovers that you can eat for the bulk of the week. I know, I’ve done it!

What you’ll need:

  • Crockpot (or large pot and a stove)
  • Head of cabbage
  • 1/2 container of cherry tomatoes
  • 1/2 package of dried shiitake mushrooms (yes I know I spelled them wrong in the video)
  • Bunch of fresh cilantro
  • Low sodium, or Thai-style, soy sauce (shiitake mushroom flavored would be a bonus)
  • 1 full package of extra firm tofu!

Thanks for watching!
